Got into something of an argument with someone else over this, and while it ended badly, I still would like an answer. He claimed that there were specific scriptures in the Bible that said Christians should not read works of fiction. Meaning books like the Davinci Code, or Harry Potter. I recently received a 25 dollar borders book gift card. I'm going there tomorrow, and need ideas on what books to buy :) I am by no means an active reader, and in fact have not really found interest in a book in the past 3-4 years. I am already planning to buy The Diary of Anne Frank, but I am looking for a few more FICTION books. I tend to like quick reads with semi-realistic plots, and i especially adore books that introduce a new way of thinking and philosophy. In order to receive me to read past the first 30 pages, they can't be boring or too focused on one subject. Ideally, they must have action or change, evoke emotion and/or display new theories/ideas/ways of thinking or living. I know the tune has some sort of screaming in, the singer sings and screams.. The drummer also sings when the singer is screaming. The tune video features a young boy in a garden, he has glasses and he has leonardo DaVinci's flying machine thing. You look the band playing and you look the boy walking through this big room of fancy people, like a banquet-thing. Then the video flashes forward to when he's older, he's in an office. He throws the papers around.. then you look him as an old man and he walks back to the garden where he was a kid at the beginning and he picks up the toy again.. I know this probably makes sense.. but I LOVED that tune when I heard it. It has a great tone and feel. It's kinda, emo I think. Any help would be appreciated :)
